Is Your Pet Graduating?
May 10, 2000 to Dec. 12, 2011
Celebrate His Life!
Graduation - a ceremony honoring those who have mastered proficiency and are now passing from one stage or calling to a higher one.
When a pet dies here at Wynley Park, my husband and I believe they are graduating to a bigger and better place, a place where there is an abundance of light and joy. No fear, no more pain, no room for shabbiness.
Your pet's graduation, whether from euthanasia or natural death is a time of bittersweet emotion. The relief that he'll soon be free of his failing body is often overshadowed by heavy sadness. The sadness of pet's death is sometimes lightened when we give voice to memories, allowing others to share the weight. As for your pet, this creature who knows you so well, his last concern and heart's desire will be to see you happy.
When a beloved dog dies, he has successfully mastered the challenge of unconditionally loving his person through grumpiness, missed walks, morning breath, late work nights and vacations taken without him. It’s simple. He loves you; in good times and in bad. A dog’s love knows no bounds and has no words for divorce. I imagine it is God’s love, only on a smaller scale. It is no coincidence, this heteropalindrome; just one of many reminders that the point of living is to love.
“But ask the animals, and they will teach you…In his hand is the life of every creature and the breath of all mankind.” Job 12:7-10
